I have been blitzing L3 missions, trying to repair Caldari faction standing, and came across this:
I've mentioned it before, but CCP really has some fun ways of making people want to not play their game. In case it's not obvious, I declined an anti-Gallente mission, as my goal is to get back to 0.0 for all factions, not tank one to raise the other. And the response, after waiting out the decline timer, is to offer me the anti-Minmatar version. With a taunt, no less.
Great way to get me hitting the log-off button.
Heavens forfend that the NPCs act as much like dicks as the players. :)
ReplyDeleteYep. I get it ad flavor, but when it's so obviously programmed in as "fuck you" to the player, makes me angry. It's one thing to hide the restraints, another to rub it in that your think your way is the best/only way.
ReplyDeleteRumor has it that faction standings will be going away soon.
ReplyDeleteThe recent change to the required faction standing to join FW was the catalyst. Apparently, certain CCP devs now believe that faction standings don't add anything to the game, but only add unnecessary complexity. Standings just confuse new players (why should I refuse this mission?), and frustrate the hell out of anyone who has to slowly and tediously grind back standings (dammit, why didn't I refuse those missions?) for things like traveling through empire space, running some different missions, or setting up a high sec POS.
